Becoming the Hero of Your Own Story:

Christy will be speaking about how her own progressed New Moon began a journey of discovery that shaped a new way of chart interpretation involving storytelling, which helps clients make choices in their lives and understand their present circumstances in a new light. She will explain what a secondary progressed new moon actually is, its significance, and give three examples of this time in film, a client’s life and her own story. She will share the shift of chart interpretation as personality characteristics to perceiving the natal chart as a description of life purpose. Through the use of the lunation cycle within the secondary progressed chart she weaves the recent past events to the current time so that a person has an understanding of where they just were, where they are now and where they are about to go so that there is meaning and orientation to their life story. Becoming the hero of your story involves the way you perceive and interpret your past. Do you believe your past happened for a reason? Do you believe you are here for a purpose? Reflections upon this past help you discover your purpose. Your past did happen for a reason. It happened to shape you into who you are becoming right now, and now, and now… This is how you become the Hero of Your Story.

Christy picked up her first astrology book in 2001 and is still left in awe by the discovery of the way the Universe operates. A practicing astrologer since 2009, she was a founding member of the Astrological Society of Austin and served on the board of Astrological Society of North Texas as well as AFAN, the Association For Astrological Networking, a global non-profit dedicated to enhancing the role astrology has in today's society. With a diploma from Glenn Perry's AstroPsychology Program, and more than 14 years of consultation experience, she teaches classes on Manifesting Venus, Lunar Phases and other astrology courses. She has lectured on Hero Myths as well as a wide variety of other astrological / metaphysical topics with great enthusiasm and making the subject matter accessible to anyone attending the talks. She wants everyone - even non-astrologers or beginners to fully comprehend the amazing nature of the Cosmos. Christy is married with 2 children, and 2 dogs whom she loves beyond all reason.

A Skyful of Archetypes

6:30 - 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. $20 per Person

Astrology and psychoanalysis have similar root metaphors as both disciplines involve questions of birthright and the human soul. Psychoanalysis is microscopic exploring psychodynamic images, while astrology is telescopic considering heavenly symbols; but both consider the fate of the human and collective soul.

No wonder Carl Jung was attracted to astrology from an early age. While astrology had always personified the god-like archetypes as the planets, Jung revived them on the inner landscape. As ‘personifications of unconscious contents’, the gods now revealed themselves on the psychic topography, just as the earliest astrologers had observed the gods in the constellations. Now the archetypal images had sanctuary in sky and psyche. In our lecture we will consider astrology through the eyes of Carl Jung.

Saturday, November 21st - Rebeca Eigen
6:30 - 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. $20 per Person

We suffer in our relationships when we don’t know ourselves completely. Using Jungian psychology and the 7th House in our Astrological birth chart, Rebeca will show you how there is light at the end of the tunnel of love once we are willing to go into the dark side (hidden, unconscious parts of all of us) with courage and an open heart to discover the Gold. Rebeca will describe how we can find balance in the opposites of our 7th house signs and planets and make them our own. Rebeca will demonstrate this using 2 or 3 specific case histories.

Rebeca  Eigen, a Houston astrologer for 25+ years and author of The Shadow Dance & the Astrological 7th House Workbook and Shadow Work & 7th House Webinar Portal is available for consultations by Zoom or in person in Houston, Tx.

Her specialty is relationships using the timeless methods of astrology and Jungian psychology to introduce us to “the Shadow” in all of us — everything about us that is unconscious, repressed, undeveloped or denied. This is one of the most important topics that govern our personal, familial, group and national life.

Rebeca’s study of the Shadow has given her an invaluable awareness of the unconscious and the role it plays in the relationships that we attract into our lives. We know from studying myth that Beauty eventually learned to love the Beast.
